On July 13, 2019, 17-year-old Bianca Devins and 21-year-old Brandon Clark went to Queens for a concert. At about 7:30 am, on July 14, 2019, the police responded to several calls in Utica, New York regarding a suicidal man who claimed to have killed a woman. When the officers arrived, Clark began stabbing himself in the neck with a large knife. Clark then laid down on a tarp that was covering something and then began taking pictures of himself. The officers noticed that there appeared to be brunette hair coming from under the tarp and Clark stated that the person underneath was Bianca Devins and that he had killed her. It was later discovered that Clark had posted pictures of Bianca’s dead body on a social media platform called Discord. Originally, Clark pleaded not guilty of second-degree murder. However, in February 2020, he changed his plea to guilty.
