On February 1, 2021, in Plains Township, Pennsylvania, James Spaide murdered husband and wife James and Lisa Goy. James and Lisa were clearing out their driveway and pushed the snow onto Spaide’s property. Neighbors have said that James and Lisa did this to taunt Spaide. This feud had been going on for a long time, and this was the tipping point. Neighbors told police that James threw a tool at Spaide after Spaide asked the couple to stop shoveling the snow onto his property. In a video, you can hear all three of them yelling profanities and threats. At one point, James raises a fist at Spaide; Spaide retaliates with a gun. However, this does not stop the couple from continuing to taunt and yell at Spaide. Spaide then shoots the couple and runs into his house. In the footage, you can see James run out of frame and Lisa fall to the ground. Even then, she continues to yell threats at Spaide.
Several neighbors saw the fight. one woman said that she heard yelling and then gunshots, she looked out her window and saw Spaide with a gun and proceeded to call 911. Some neighbors rushed to aid the couple, and at that time, Spaide returned but this time with a rifle. He shoots the couple again, killing them. As officers arrive at Spaide’s residence, they heard a gunshot; upon entering the house, they found that Spaide has killed himself.
