Wrongly Convicted Man Dies of Cancer

A wrongly convicted man, Pete Coones, died from cancer this past weekend. Coones was 64 years old and had served over 12 years for a double murder that he did not commit. The investigators and prosecutors withheld evidence that proved Coones was innocent. They wanted to win so badly that they were willing to deprive a man of his freedom.

Attorney Brandon Bell worked diligently to prove Coones was innocent; he went through the crime scene photos and noticed that a bullet that the investigators had been unable to find was potentially lodged in a pillow. Bell’s dedication and hard work gave Coones three and a half short months with his family, including grandchildren that he had not had the chance to meet before.

Pete’s family has set up a GoFundMe click here if you would like to help them https://gofund.me/ceeca635 Even sharing will help!
