Teenagers and young adults in Kansas City are dying of accidental overdoses from fentanyl-laced pills. They believe that they are taking prescription pain medicine. The police are suggesting that parents keep an eye out for any pills their teen is taking that was not prescribed by a medical professional. The police are urging parents to talk to their children about the risks that come from taking pills that are not specifically prescribed to them.

At this time, the police do not know for certain where these pills are originating from.
